J is for Jollies!

A little note for everyone stopping by for the A to Z challenge:

First off, hi! Welcome! Look around, have fun. My posts will be short this month, but they'll be following a theme: Books and Authors. I'll be showcasing some of my favorites within those categories. But I'll also be having some special posts regarding the release of my debut novel, Elemental, from time to time.

In fact, today is one of those days! There's been a little giveaway going on and today I pick a winner!

Get it? Jollies?? As in, "oh gee, it makes me so jolly to give away stuff!" :P

Here's a look at some of my favorite pics (and oh boy, were you guys creative!!):

From the always talented and ever hilarious Joshua

Right above Serenity tattoos?? You bet that's a place of honor!!

The Elemental Billboard

Even Nathan Fillion loves Elemental!!

And well you should, Nathan. It's right up your alley. :)

These next pictures come from Tezza Velaros!

Oh my goodness, isn't this just the cutest thing??
But wait! There's more adorableness coming your way!

It's Super Elemental flying in to save the day!!!
So. Cute.

But the winner of the SIGNED Elemental arc has done something that few people have been able to do. I literally gasped (Yeah, you know the kind that EVERY character does all. the. time but few people do in real life? Yeah. That.)

Who could it be?? And what did this person do??

drum roll, please...

And look at how happy they are about it, too.

Congratulations, Sarah! You have shocked and awed me. I will be emailing you today for your mailing address.

To everyone else! You were amazing! These were sooooo hard to choose from. I am really impressed with all the ideas you readers came up with. But! There are more Elemental arc giveaways going on as we speak! More chances to win!

Check them out!

Good luck! And thanks again for participating!!

C is for Come and Get it!

Also look to the right for another ARC giveaway that is going on. :)

What could you be getting? Oh, an ARC! That's what! And not just any ARC, but a signed one of my debut novel (set for release on May 1st), Elemental!

How fun, right?? :P

So, here's how the giveaway works:

You must MUST either tweet or facebook (between now and 8:00 tomorrow morning) something about Elemental's upcoming release. Your tweet or facebook update MUST include the following:

For twitter: @emily_t_white AND #elemental
For facebook: you must tag me

Why all the rules? It makes it easier for me to know who participated. And, if I don't know whether or not you participated, how can I enter your name in my giveaway?

If you aren't friends with me on facebook yet, here's the link: http://www.facebook.com/authoremilytwhite

Now, you don't have to friend me on facebook, but I don't think you can tag me if we're not friends. This is why you also have the option to tweet!

I'll announce the winner tomorrow!

A is for Andrew Smith

A little note for everyone stopping by for the A to Z challenge:

First off, hi! Welcome! Look around, have fun. My posts will be short this month, but they'll be following a theme: Books and Authors. I'll be showcasing some of my favorites within those categories. But I'll also be having some special posts regarding the release of my debut novel, Elemental, from time to time. Make sure you stop back on Tuesday for "C is for Come and Get it!" where I'll be going over the details of a signed ARC giveaway. Also look to the right for an ARC giveaway that is already going on. :)

Andrew Smith. He is a brilliant writer. I've only read The Marbury Lens so far, but this guy has me hooked. I love his gut-wrenching style.

Here's a little bit about him from Macmillan.com

Andrew Smith is the author of Ghost Medicine and The Marbury Lens, both of which were named American Library Association Best Books for Young Adults. He is also the author of In the Path of Falling Objects. Smith started writing for newspapers and radio. He then traveled around the world and from job to job, working in metal mills, as a longshoreman, in bars and liquor stores, in security and as a musician. Now, in addition to writing, he teaches high school advanced placement classes and coaches rugby. He lives in Southern California with his family, in a rural location in the mountains.

If you haven't read his books, I highly suggest you check them out.

It's the Amazing Elemental ARC Giveaway!!

Lookie what I have!!

And I'm giving one ARC away!

All I want from you is a crazy, funny, whatever kind of picture of yourself wearing one of these out in public:

An Elemental temporary tattoo!! Or is it temporary? Hmmm... :P

Yes, it is. At least, it better be because this is a picture of my two-year-old. :o

You know how most giveaways are totally random and you only win if you are one of those gifted people who have a lucky leprechaun stashed in his/her closet? Well, not this one! You are in control!!

Send me a message at emilywhite_1112(at)yahoo(dot)com with your address, I'll mail you up to five temporary tattoos (obviously, you get to choose how many you require), and you send me back a picture of yourself or a friend (or both) wearing it by April 10th! I'll choose my favorite picture and post it on the blog.

The winner will get a signed ARC of Elemental!!

Just think of the possibilities! It's almost April Fool's day. You could put one of these beauties on someone while they slept and take a picture! You could pose as Charlie's Angels with your tough and bad tooshy tattoos!

Whatever you want!

Just email me with your mailing address and I'll send one (or more) out to you!

Also, spread the word! The more participants, the better!
